The Road
Brian (Grade 11 / Northfield School of Arts and Technology) Originally published March 2004The road we travel is long We don’t know where ours leads
All we can do is try to stay on the path and not stray
The gravel can be sharp, and the dirt can be smooth
Wind can be harsh, and breeze can revive
We must go through the blizzard to reach the sun
If we do stray from our road we can ask for the way
People have walked your road before
And they know the path to take
Each corner and bend in the road will show us new things
Once we round a turn we cannot go back and do it again
We must keep our eyes open so we don’t miss a minute of the journey
