About donating to Charter Vision

Charter Friends: donors

“Charter Friends” are individuals or organizations who donate to Charter Vision. Though the do not receive ad space, their names appear on this page for the duration of the school year. Minimum donation of $20 for individuals or families and $85 for organizations.

Note: though Charter Vision is registered as a non-profit, we are not incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and thus donations are not tax-deductable.

Advertisers

We sell business card-sized (285px wide, 150px high) advertisements that appear on our article pages. One ad is randomly selected to appear on any given article. The fee is $100 per academic year (September-May).

Where does this money go?

Though the cost to publish online is minimal, it is still a concern. Here are some of the things donations and advertising funds might be used for:

  • Website hosting
  • Software to create and maintain website
  • Meeting costs (a student group meets monthly, an adult advisory group annually)
  • Promotional materials to schools (e.g., flyers)
