Richfield Community Center

Community Center

The Community Center at Augsburg Park is a 60-year-old reused library, and it isn’t meeting our community’s needs. If approved, the sales tax will build a larger, modern community center that includes fitness amenities and more space for community groups.

The more-than-50-year-old building at Woodlake Nature Center will be replaced with a more welcoming facility for all ages and abilities.

The Veterans Park Pool is at the edge of failure, jeopardizing summer fun for Richfield families. The project will replace the pool liner and provide other needed improvements to Vets Park.

We’re Voting Yes

Richfielders from all walks of life are voting YES this fall. Here are just a few of our stories:

Growing up in Richfield I had a pool pass every summer, skated at the ice rink, and went on field trips to Woodlake Nature Center. I will be voting yes because Richfield kids โ€” including my new three month old son โ€” should get the same great opportunities I had at great facilities in our own community. I love Richfield parks! Richfield Lake is one of my favorite places to walk my dog, bird and turtle watch, and identify plants. I also love Augsburg Park. When I decided to get married after 30 years with my partner, we chose Augsburg Park for the ceremony. We walked to the park with our officiant and four witnesses. Our family is very enthusiastically voting YES for Richfield parks! We have made so many wonderful memories at Woodlake, the pool, and the community center, and we hope to continue to make many more. Our community and its awesome gathering spaces are one of the best parts about living in Richfield.
